5 spring trends: this is how the Laconicum team applies them

Freedom, that would be the word that prevails in this spring's trends for us. Freedom to choose very simple routines or complicate them as much as we want. Freedom to go with very natural makeup or dare with graphic eyeliner and shadows. Freedom to make our hair a canvas, and cut it or leave it long, straighten it or enhance the curls, leave it with a wet effect or give it volume and texture, to leave the bangs long or cut them above the eyebrows.

And in full use of our cosmetic freedoms, here's how we applied this spring's five trends on the Laconicum team

1. Skinmalism: the routine is simplified

Not long ago we were fascinated by the thousand steps of the Korean beauty routine. We believed that the more the better, that Korean skin could be achieved with ten products with its ten steps and an hour of routine in front of the mirror. Any fashion that involves such unnecessary effort is doomed to go down in history (we also realize that Korean genetics is another story). Now they have the simple but effective routines, the multipurpose products that really fulfill all their functions in a magnificent way. The woman you see below is Tina Craig, founder of U Beauty. She owes her glow to a product, one of María M's favorites.

"I like simple routines, with results, of course, but that do not complicate my life. For that I look for multipurpose products that do several things and do them very well like The Seated Queen , the latest laconic launch, with it I sand my face and do a 10-minute facial; if this is not skinmalism... And very complete products like U Beauty Resurfacing Compound , a serum that has improved my skin tremendously since I used it because it has everything (hyaluronic acids, stable retinol, stabilized vitamin C and E, peptides, antioxidants and AHAs), morning and night on clean skin, then a moisturizer, and that's it."

2. Baby skin: the triumph of natural and healthy skin

2020 was the year of extreme glow, they called it dolphin skin. This year the story relaxes a little and what is sought is the so-called baby skin, healthy, hydrated, luminous and juicy skin in just the right amount.

"My routine always aims for juicy skin because I have dry and sensitive skin, so that it is comfortable and nourished is important. I have rediscovered Super Serum Skin Tint by Ilia. A serum with hyaluronic acid that hydrates and leaves a natural tone and juicy skin. It is the good face effect made of a unified tone, hydrated skin, it does not crack, it does not bother and it has SPF30. baby cheeks and face, real."

Cristina, Account Manager

3. Hair is the new canvas

This spring the trends are benevolent and dictate that you wear your hair however you really want. Short, long, natural, textured, with waves, like a board, with open bangs, paraded, curtain or short, with a wet effect, with an undone bun, bob, long bob... As I said, wear your hair however you want, but comb your hair. Even Kate Moss's disheveled hair is designed, specifically by Sam McKnight. Even Larry King, our hair guru, opts for well-combed naturalness (let's call it that), and in this tutorial, Lili Bridger, stylist at his salon, teaches us how to use Volumizing Hair Mist, to give texture and volume to the hair, and Velvet Texture Clay to give it body without stiffness and definition.

"I spent a whopping 5 years with long hair, cleaning it up, but without changing the cut. Last year I decided to get a long bob (almost 10cm cut, that's bravery) and I I worked hard to take care of it and comb it, in short, it will be for time at home... I then discovered H07 by Modesta Cassinello I love how clean it leaves the scalp and how loose it is. Leave the hair. To hydrate I am loyal to Hair Repair by Sachajuan Their hair perfume is another basic, I like that. last so long and reveal itself with movement".

Beatriz, operations department.

4.The focus is on the ingredients

Enormous importance has always been given to the composition of cosmetics, the difference is that before the question was does this serum hydrate?, and now the question is does this serum contain hyaluronic acid?. Now we name what we want: we want retinol, hyaluronic acid, lactic acid, probiotics, prebiotics, vitamin C, salicylic acid, glycolic ...We want concentrations that hydrate, brighten, care for the microbiome, nourish, exfoliate and plump the skin.

"I agree with the point of skinmalism, in fact, I never succumbed to eternal routines because I like to get to the point. That's why I choose cosmetics that go directly to what I want. My skin needs balance , hydration and light. That's why I choose cleansers rich in probiotics, prebiotics and lactic acid, like Gallinée's Cleansing Bar The EGF Serum super-hydrating serum. tr9453>, with hyaluronic acid and EGF, a growth factor multiplies the ability of cells to regenerate And twice a week I use Light Up by PSA. , an easy mask with a high concentration of vitamin C for a five-minute mask and luminous skin.

5. The eyeliner returns in its most graphic version vs. the relaxed smoky

Strong, thick, powerful, flush with the eyelashes or as Twiggy wore it, on the eyelid making geometric designs. Losing fear of eyeliner is the new challenge. It is not easy and we know that the simple line still does not go away, so it is accepted at face value. The ideal is to start with a pencil to be able to blend if we are not satisfied and get to dare with the liquid. In this tutorial, BBB London teaches how to line with Ultra Fine Liquid Eyeliner, but the way to draw the line would be applicable to a pencil. Do you dare?

"I have never been skilled with eyeliner, to be honest. And I have always loved it, plus the extreme one, the one worn by models like Twiggy in the second half of the 60s.I confess that I have tried several filters on social networks to see how it would look on me and it amazes me, but I still don't dare to do that much. I've started by really learning how to make beautiful eyeliner. I use Eye Pencil Black by Kjaer Weis because it has a medium hardness, perfect for precision and correction. I help myself with the brush Brightening Brush from RMS, it is for your highlighter, but it helps me to blur the line a little. And if it's average, I blend it by applying Eye Wonder Color Stick by BBB London, a wax shadow that, by tapping with your fingers, creates a relaxed smoky look for any day."
