Everything that refers us to hotels, with their staging, interests us. We would like to stay at one called Hotel Saudade. The inspiration behind this candle from The Inventory is that feeling that invades us when we open the window of a hotel facing the sea in winter (this is important) and all the power of nature enters. We know that power: when salt, sun and air fill a room. It also refers us to that image of a writer who is left a house in El Hierro to write a book and walks around at the end of the day. These words are not ours, they are from the creator of Hotel Saudade.
Hotel Saudade belongs to The Inventory, a Spanish collection of fragrances created by Paula González, factotum of The Singular Olivia and who knows a lot, a lot about candles. Like everything in The Inventory, it is handmade with vegetable waxes, natural aromas and essential oils; The latter are responsible for making these candles smell so real; what they say they smell like. These candles are designed down to the millimeter, from the name to the packaging. This includes a list of drinks to complete the moment, from an Earl Gray to a Gin Fizz. There is a small canned size, which is good for testing or taking on a trip. It is a candle that awakens the spirit, that stirs it, as the sea would stir it.
