“This is how I changed the way I washed my hair after trying a HeadSpa in Tokyo”

You may not be familiar with the concept, but in Tokyo  the number of HeadSpa It is equivalent to the average number of bars per capita in Spain: one per inhabitant. I may be exaggerating, but within a radius of two kilometers I could find more than twenty. And as beauty freak that I am I could not resist. Happens  Sixty minutes in glory and I came out refreshed and with a few lessons that have changed the way I wash my hair and will change yours.. Word of Mary, beauty freak and co-founder of Laconicum.

What is a HeadSpa?

It is not a hair salon, it is not a massage center; It is a hair spa. Let's take it one step at a time. Of the twenty places around me, I chose Rubbicour from the pictures of the treatment rooms I saw on the internet and because I was on the fifth floor of a building that was not  It didn't look like it was supposed to house such a place. While we're at it, let's make the eccentric even more eccentric.

The concept of the place was "the forest" and the decoration wanted  dive into one. I sat in a chair, where a woman, through a translator, asked me about my scalp and hair concerns. while I made myself some tea. He massaged my shoulders and after a scrutiny of the scalp, He told me to lie down on the most comfortable washing chair I have ever tried in my life.I would trade my sofa for that armchair.

Over there was almost  an hour washing my hair with a slow and deep massage that reached places in my head that perhaps  I hadn't paid attention in years. Shampoo, conditioner and rinse with that arc of little streams that move from the forehead to the tips like a floating waterfall. When she finished, she put a towel on me and dried my hair with a hairdryer so I wouldn't leave with it wet. I have never had such clean hair and I have never been able to space out my washes as I did after that day..

How do I wash my hair after this experience?

Of course, the  conclusion is not to dedicate it  sixty minutes of shampooing every day, but yes There are three things I do differently:

  1. Work the shampoo wellMaybe you, like me, apply the shampoo while the water is running in the shower, spread it well and that's it.  Surprise, it's not done like this. Wet your hair a little, turn off the tap, apply and massage well into your entire scalp, including the nape of your neck which we just passed over. Leave it on for a minute or two.
  2. Apply the conditioner thoroughly. Don't put it on the surface, apply from mid-lengths to ends and work in sections or with a comb.
  3. Lighten your hair a lot, a lot..  This is essential. Sometimes your hair isn't dirty after 24 hours, it's just that product sediment builds up. A good rinse saves you another wash.

AND With this, I, who have fine hair that is ungrateful because it gets dirty frequently, can now space out my washes. and I have soft hair  and weightless.

What products can you use to create a HeadSpa at home?

  1. With a specific scalp product. You can apply Gallinée Hair Care Serum just before showering or the night before, leaving it to act for a few hours. It soothes the scalp so that hair grows strong and healthy.
  2. With a purifying shampoo. Scalp Shampoo by Sachajuan It balances the scalp and therefore the oiliness, and purifies so that it stays clean for longer.
  3. With a conditioner that hydrates without weight. Larry King Liquid Hairbrush Conditioner Hydrates and strengthens hair leaving it soft and manageable. And if you want more nutrition, use weekly Bigger Love Treatment Mask by Sam McKnight.
  4. With a  heat protector. Save the Do Blow Dry Style Start by Sam McKnight will prevent hair from becoming weak, dry and breaking due to heat.
