Pleasure Laconicum nº5

Chatting about everything and nothing on the edge of a pool

What does María, founder of Laconicum, carry in her beach bag?

We get into the travel bags of the founders of Laconicum. One, a maximalist, takes everything taking advantage of the fact that she travels by car. Another, minimalist, reduces her routine to a minimum, for comfort, space and time. Today we are going with the first one, María, the one who takes everything in her beach bag

What does María, founder of Laconicum, carry in her beach bag ?

When I go to the beach, my cosmetic products take up almost as much space as my clothes. I enjoy weeks in advance, knowing that when traveling by car I have no size limit and I can travel with everything I want. And I want a lot.

Messy Summer

I'm crazy about my hair and on the beach it's usually completely out of control. Therefore, I resort to my arsenal; I don't risk seeing what amenities are in the hotel or what the shampoo that the previous vacationer left in the apartment is like.

My hair products:

Shampoo from Aesop, (in 100ml). At the beach I wash it every day, so this shampoo is gentle enough to not dry it out, and powerful enough to leave it really clean.

Leave-in conditioner from Centred. I love applying it after swimming at the beach. It helps me comb my hair, makes it soft and leaves a wonderful scent.

Happy Endings by Sam McKinhgt. On the beach it takes a long time to dry and it does so at its own pace. With this finishing product I make sure to keep it dignified.

And on the face?

I also don't cut corners on the number of products I carry in my macro toiletry bag. I'm going on vacation and I want to do everything I know I'll want, I don't want to miss anything.

During the day, I use sunscreen; nothing else. This year I'm wearing Standard Procedure SPF50+, both for the face and body. Last year it worked very well for me: I turned tan, I didn't burn and my skin was super pretty.

At night, I cleanse my skin well and apply, on some days an oil (Light Fantastic from Pai Skincare) and on other days, a powerful cream like The Cream by Augustinus Bader

Another thing I love is doing an express cleansing at midday with micellar water. The one from Natura Bissé is my favorite. Taking a nap with clean, fresh skin feels much better.

Let's go with the body! And I already have 7 products

I focus on sensations. I'm looking for freshness and that's what after-sun aloe vera from Standard Procedure gives me. I love the wonderful aroma (and texture) of Air-lite, which I apply, not only on my legs, but all over my body.

Anything else? Of course. I can't help but add some perfume, a good mascara and a rouge

Can it seem like a lot of things? Yes. Do I need all of them? Too. Long live cosmetic maximalism!
