You have to be very sure of what you have in hand to call a cosmetics brand a “stable.” Nick Jones, the creator of this one, was.  He had a beautiful hotel, Babington House, on a farm, in the middle of sixteen hectares of countryside where beauty treatments were carried out. According to Nick, there were no face, hair and body products on the market that fit the natural philosophy of Babington House, which is what that (super desirable) place was called.

Good old Jones decided to create his own products with herbs from his garden to which he would add essential oils from all over the world. In 1998 Cowshed was born. The name was inevitable: the beauty treatments were carried out in what had been a stable. Since then Cowshed it has grown without losing the irreverent and pampered air that Nick Jones gave it from the beginning. You have to be English to know how to use a cow as cosmetic inspiration.
