The life of the Italian Cecilia Garofano was always surrounded by tea. He drank it and studied it. He was interested in its properties for health and skin for a long time. On a trip to China, this interest skyrocketed: there he met salons and tea shops and there the desire to launch his own tea line was aroused. In parallel, he worked in the cosmetic industry. I knew what he was talking about.
Cecilia and her husband, Paolo, sat down to think about what products they would launch. They had to be innovative and also incorporate tea. It wasn't easy, but between the two of them they had 40 years of cosmetic experience together, but they were facing a new challenge: "How do we transfer the properties of tea to skin care products?" They asked.
Tea contains up to 30% polyphenols - a treat for the skin. Most importantly, it is a precious source of catechins, a very powerful ingredient that fights cellular oxidation processes and free radicals that are responsible for 4 out of 5 wrinkles. That's not all: it also contains revitalizing EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate), energizing vitamins, invigorating caffeine and regenerating minerals. Tea is that powerful, that's why Cecilia wanted what she wanted in her products.
Working with a team of chemists, they found a unique and patented concept of cosmetics where, in each of the products, water is replaced by the infusion of tea. Teaology products are imaginative and effective. The idea is that each one of them is as stimulating and comforting as a cup of tea.
