Lorenzo Villoresi
Lorenzo Villoresi is a Florentine perfumer who works in a 15th century palace owned by his family. This already encourages us to want to know (and smell) more. This man was a student when, in the early 1980s, he took a trip to the Middle East. There, in his markets, he discovered fragrances, essences and oils that he bought and put in his suitcase. This trip and this discovery led him to study perfumery. He began to mix Tuscan ingredients with others from the Middle East, reproducing, in some way, what the merchants of the Renaissance did.
The Fendi house commissioned him a collection with some potpurrís and fragrances. After Fendi came other Italian fashion houses who had heard (very good) things about the scents it created Villoresi.
It was in 1993 when he launched his brand and his first perfumes. Today he is a cult perfumers, one of those whose fragrances are persecuted and repeated. One of those names that is shared in whispers, afraid that too many people know it.
Villoresi he is a master handling classic perfumery ingredients, such as patchouli, but also recreating fantasies. They are easy to recognize: their formulas are structured and their aromas are enveloping thanks to the fact that they cross the entire olfactory pyramid.
The perfumes of Lorenzo Villoresi they are timeless and adult, as is Florence, which seems to be beyond space and time. They are memorable architectures.
