This brand is what the English call a "kitchen table business", something created at the kitchen table, a family project. Bloom & Blossom began in 2010 on a table, we imagined it made of wood and with some flowers and two cups of tea, around which Julia and Christina sat. They are two English women (who are also from the same family), with backgrounds in finance in the City of London and in journalism at Condé Nast.
Their lives are, as they say, "wonderfully complicated" and, inspired by them, they wanted to make skin care products with real ingredients, to solve real problems, for real people. They were looking for products with quick results, that were not difficult to use and that made sense even on the laziest day.
Bloom & Blossom hides nothing under the label. Their products look good, smell good and feel good, because inside they are full of good ingredients that have earned their right to be there. Julia and Christina have things very clear.
This English brand has been around for more than a decade and wants to have a long road ahead. To ensure that Bloom & Blossom continues to exist in the long term, it is committed to being a sustainable company, at least taking all the necessary steps to become a little more so every day. For them, sustainability focuses on four key areas:
1. Packaging. They commit to using all recycled plastic by 2021.
2. Minimize the carbon footprint. They proudly produce in the United Kingdom with local ingredients.
3. Help others: they collaborate with Action for Children.
4. Be a great place to work. They work with a local and diverse team. And from what we've seen, they seem happy!
When we look for a brand, we look for good products and good intentions. Bloom & Blossom has both.
