Help Ukraine: I help, you help, we help

The war in Ukraine is disconcerting and horrifying us. We are feeling a collective sense of helplessness in the face of a human tragedy that is beyond us. We do not know what to do. We do not know how to help and how to do it well.

Laconicum will donate from 10:00 pm on Monday March 7, until 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, 30% of our sales to World Central Kitchen: food is hope.

World Central Kitchen (WCK) is a non-governmental organization that is governed by a universal principle: food is a human right. Founded and led by chef José Andrés, it goes where there are hungry people due to a conflict. WCK has demonstrated in previous dramatic situations, such as the Coronavirus in Spain, its ability to channel donations and turn them into concrete help: hot meals. This NGO is deployed on the border of Ukraine feeding thousands of people every day.

We don't know if this is the best way to help, but it is one way. We think it is a concrete and warm relief.

From our safe world, we can turn every order from Laconicum into plates of food. That small gesture nourishes and embraces.
