We're in Rome in the 1950s. We imagine Vespas, girls with long, flowing skirts and tiger-pattern sunglasses, and men like Mastroianni in "La Dolce Vita." We imagine right. That was the environment in which the Lembo family moved.

The Lembos owned a small perfumery in the center of Rome. There they sold historic brands like Guerlain, Penhaligon's, Chanel, and Lanvin to a clientele eager to smell good, very good.

This is the environment in which Maurizio Lembo grew up. It was inevitable that he would decide to launch his own fragrance brand, wanting to replicate what he had seen and smelled as a young man. He launched Officina delle Essenze in 2001, clearly inspired by his family's boutique.

With his fragrances, he wanted to unite ideas he'd experienced at home (and in Italy) since he was a child, such as craftsmanship and luxury. He wanted to convey well-being through his perfumes and colognes, so that when someone wore them, they would feel the emotion that delicate craftsmanship always evokes.

Of all the Officina delle Essenze fragrances we have chosen a line which is, just like that, A great generator of well-being. Puro Lino, Puro Talco, Puro Neroli... they're clean, full of personality, and perfect examples of Made in Italy. Who can resist?
